Funny week this week...focussing on Melbourne Race 5....

Captain Duffy 20-1 backs up a week later and I thought his run last week was a bit unlucky so bodes well for the 7 day back up.

I then have a mate who owns the left hoof of no 13 ... Kaching - 6-1.  It won its last start by 3.5 lengths and looks the goods...has been backed in from 9s to 6s and is by So You Think out of Sung Song making it closely related to Sunline. I had plans on making this tip of the week but then...

I then met another mate today who owns the left rump and testicle of no 5 Lord Macau - 12-1 which was written up during the week as the only 3yo to be nominated for the Melbourne Cup this year....trained by Gai and connections thought it was a place special.

But still....

I don't go in for namby Pamby Gai tips...I like form...so I had a look and came up with...

No 14...Larrikin...40-1

Kaching has had 2 starts...his first start he ran a half length second to Larrikin.  Larrikin then ran 5th in the same race that tomorrow's fav (Rockateer) ran 2nd with Lord Macau 3rd.  Larrikin was behind the leaders in a hotly run race and got held up massively at the turn and lost all momentum.  Got going late again after the snoopers and flashed past so did well for 5th.

So....totw is Larrikin....but I'll be having quinellas, trifecta a and first fours around nos 4,5,13 and 14
