The Duke - The Playoffs

Taking all the dogs in the divisional round would have made money last weekend.  That’s because the underdog Packers and the Steelers both won.  And that’s who I think are going to win this Monday morning.  Why you ask?  I’m just tired of the Patriots and Aaron Rodgers is on fire.  Being a Bengals fan, I’m tired of the Steelers as well, but I really want to see someone other than the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

At 6:05 am Monday morning, the Green Bay Packers are visiting the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Conference Championship to see who goes on to Super Bowl 51.  The odds makers favour the Falcons, the experts favour the Falcons, but I favour Aaron Rodgers.  I thought he had lost it this season and he proved me wrong.  He’s too hot to bet against.  I’m taking the Packers at $2.95 on Luxbet head to head.  The line is +6.

At 9:40 am, the Pittsburgh Steelers visit the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game.  The Patriots won the only game between these two teams this season, however, Ben Roethlisberger was not playing.  This time he is playing and he’s healthy.  I think the Steelers’ running back Leveon Bell is going to be key to victory on Monday.  I think the quarterback matchup is pretty even and the receiver matchup is even.  Bell will be the difference.  I like the value in Pittsburgh at $3.15 and Luxbet has the line at +6.

Here’s a little Super Bowl history…The Steelers and Packers played in Super Bowl 45 in Dallas, Texas on February 6th, 2011.  The Packers won 31-25 and Aaron Rodgers won the MVP.   That year the Steelers won their division and the Packers were the wildcard.  This February 6th, Super Bowl 51 is in Houston, Texas.  The Steelers won their division and the Packers were a wildcard.  I’m just saying that history could repeat itself…
