Welcome to Week 9, Sports360 fans and here’s to an early start Monday morning!
BRANDOS BOMBS #012 |
Good morning Bombers – a recap of the one of the great weeks in sport, firstly did my rent on Derby Day, Cup day and Oaks day but 12 is my lucky number so this week’s Bombs tips are morals!! The biggest give up of the week was Lloyd Williams attending The Melbourne Cup for the first time since What a Nuisance won in 1985. Lloyd is now the greatest winning owner and my mail is the equal second trainer of Melbourne Cup winners. Moving on – The Chicago Cubs finally broke their 70 year hoodoo by winning the World Series (loose term) in the 10th innings of the last game – maybe my Melbourne Demons could break their hoodoo 52 year hoodoo in the AFL next year. To the test cricket nay sayers – test cricket is the best cricket!! Starc sensational and as a former 3rd grader with a few cameos – the Australian fielding was the catalyst. Usain Bolt at the Oaks day in Melbourne – would have got more rogers in a day than his gold medals!! As Oscar said to Felix in “The Odd Couple” – “my horse pulled harder than a teenage boy.” Here we go:

It will be a Derby Day focus – you are most welcome to get up at 4.45am to watch The Kangaroos play Scotland or Benny’s Pommie boys play New Zealand, you could watch replays of The John Eales Medal or you could get up and watch a World Movies special – “Australia After Dark” – don’t tell me you have not watched it – took me a while to get through the 1234 Pin on Foxtel. On another front – Gerard Daffy has been plagiarising my odd tips in The Courier Mail – Gerard is tipping Rosenborg in the Tippelgaen – please Big Fella – I was asked to join Storm Sgodset on the back of my dance moves.
