The Sports Widow #14

Friday, December 2nd 2016

Good afternoon girls. What a weekend. I went to Noosa with some mates. Went to lunch Saturday, a walk in Noosa national Park both mornings and the beach after that. Plenty to look at on the beach in between reading my book and having a swim. It was at the beach I got one of the great tips from one of my girlfriends.

The Duke - Monday Night Football

Welcome to Tuesday Morning Football, Sports360 fans! What's that old saying? 'Fool me once...'. I've picked the Packers too many times this year. They are a shell of last year's team and Rodgers has proven he can't do it all on his own. The Eagles should put in a good show at home. They are paying 1.47 on Luxbet and 1.94 -4.5 points.Take the points for better value.

Week 12 has already produced some great games. But, the Kansas City Chiefs at the Denver Broncos could be best of the week. Two top teams in the AFC will try to keep pace with their division leading rival, the Oakland Raiders, and emerge as wild card favourites. I like both top rated defences which should produce a tight game but I give the edge to veteran quarterback Alex Smith over rookie Trevor Siemion. I also like the value in the Chiefs at 2.65 head to head on Luxbet. Game starts at 11:30 am Brisbane time on 7Mate. Catch me at 8:30 am Saturday mornings on 99.7 Bridge FM during the Saturday Morning Sports Cafe.

Good afternoon Bombers – As I write this (745 am today as I have a lunch to go to) the Australian Cricket team are reborn!! I have never heard so much sh.t since Anthony Mundine claimed himself The Greatest. More on that below. The Kangaroos demolished the Kiwis and rightly reclaimed their place as the best of four teams or basically beat The Kiwis this time. Another Costanza moment – Wallabies up by 2 points in Paris but once again I reiterate the teams they have played are second rate compared to England and Ireland.  Ireland this weekend and England the following weekend. The Aussie golf open was taken home by Jordan Spieth after all the Aussies imploded when they had their hands on the trophy – Greg Norman – “maybe the force be with you”. Not much on this weekend you may say – incorrect. I have found plenty of sport to watch, listen to and have a wager on. As “Fast Eddie Felsen” said  to Minnesota Fats “Rack em up.” Here we go:
