Gday Adelaide R3 No 9 – Another Al This horse is backing up from a 1600m race on Monday into a 2040m race….double green. His last 4 starts have all been midfields but have been over shorter trips. Now gets up to the suitable trip at his 5th start back so will be fit. This is his first Adelaide campaign having previously raced in Sydney. A year ago he won a Class 1 over 2100m beating Zatopaz before running in the Frank Packer Plate so has ability. Comes out of barrier 4, and has 51kgs on his back…should be 2 or 3 back the fence for a charmed run. Best bit…$51 Steve +$5

It’s been a while so I have 2 for tomorrow. Brisbane Race 4 No 3 Tunes Over the 3200m distance of tomorrow’s Queensland Cup, Tunes is 2-0-1-0. The second was in this year’s Adelaide Cup and the other run was in the Stayers Cup at Randwick 2 starts ago behind Opinion. He ran 5th that day but there was unusually a bit of a speed battle up front so all the front runners dropped out.

Cookie proved himself to be the big game player that I touted him to be. His winning streak continues after tipping the Cowboys 1-12 at $3.15. The Festival of the Cook was played out last weekend for Cookies 50th birthday at the Queens Arms Hotel. Cookie is following the Cowboys luck and tipping Basset in the Caulfield Guineas today.
